A Two Tier Affiliate Program offers two “tiers” of opportunities. First, as an affiliate, you receive a commission for every sale you make, whether personally, or through your own affiliate link. The second income stream comes from recruiting or referring others. You’ll earn second tier income their sales, although the commission will be lower.
Don’t confuse a 2 tier affiliate program with “multi-level marketing“.
A perfect example of this would be a Sales Manager and a Sales Representative. On the first tier, you act as a Sales Representative and get compensated for direct sales.
On the second tier, you act as a Sales Manager, and receive compensation for your sales’ team sales. (often called an override).
Unlike multi-level marketing, it goes no further than that. But just the same, there is a potential for earning a good income by recruiting an army of affiliates (super affiliates). However, you are under absolutely no obligation to recruit anyone. And to some, that’s a relief!
